Damn. Doesn't sound great. That is assuming his manager is telling the truth but I can't see why he wouldn't in this case.

Next player.....

Never saw him as the type of player we wanted anyway. And he hardly looked like a game changer last night (yes it was only one game: but a pretty significant one).

Fantastic news don't want him any where near St Kilda.

Last thing we need is outside players who can kick. Funny that we use Thursday as a guide. Maybe we should use the prelim last year as a guide. Anyway he would have been perfect but was never coming

We need to develop our own players.

if we cant then we dont deserve success and should stop whingeing.

Simple.

I'm not sure that's so bad for us. I get the feeling he's one of those players who's good in a side where he is surrounded by lots of talent. He's not a patch on Kelly.

I think you're pretty tough, don't I?

As he was contracted for 2018, GWS always had the upper hand.

I think that the only chance of gaining him was if Kelly left, and so we can only hope that we are still in the race for Kelly as there are now very, very few players left that are both available and who would make a significant difference to our list.

WHITFIELD OFF THE TRADE TABLE

Victorian clubs hoping to secure Lachie Whitfield have been left out in the cold, with the star midfielder committing to GWS until the end of 2020.

“It was a pretty easy decision really,” Whitfield said.

“This has been my home since I arrived five years ago and this is where I want to play my football.

“I love the Sydney lifestyle and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

“We’re building something special and I’m looking forward to what’s to come in the next few years.”

I really don't get the hype about Whitfield. Like his name suggests built like a whippet. Seems like an outside receiver

That's absolutely laughable.
