Drafted at the end of 2001 (No 2, ahead of you-know-who), no games in 2002 whilst at school, debut in round 1 2003.
Played one game for Springvale Scorpions our VFL affiliate then.

Yep. Played that one game late in the year after getting over OP.

But.. is he really going to help us win the game? Is he going to be picked to play finals?
If the answer is no (as it should be)
Shouldn't we be picking blokes like Acres/Dunstan?!
Acres might give us 20 touches and a goal.
Battle will be lucky to get 10 touches.
Be bold lad ...he is the future.

Second fave after Galactica!
Well done Saintsationalists! An absolute smorgasbord of nicks to choose from.
And, may I add, now that Dal is out of the blue and white and back home where he belongs, it's good to see the #26 go to a young up and comer like [Galactica/Battlesnake/Man of War]
(NO disrespect to TC intended; we were all hoping he would make it]

Watched him play a fair bit of footy at Haileybury - a gun at that level - has got footy smarts and can run all day, he's a good kid too. It almost seems a bit surreal that I'll see him running around in a Saints jumper tomorrow - go Josh!

This kid will be given plenty of good advice from the coach and leadership group. I for one, think it's great that youngsters are being blooded into the heat of battle! Can only be a good thing ..... IF it's handled correctly, and Richo has the track record of developing young players.

Seriously - the most obvious Nickname - IMHO - is Mars (Alke or Odin) - the God of Battles(War)
But I have always said, if you need to explain a nick-name - the name is pointless.
So:
Scream it Loud
Scream it Proud
Scream the Battle Cry - BATTLE!!!!! - as he kicks a bag tonight

Win the Battles, win the War
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Wow I haven't heard this for a while... one of the most underrated Aussie bands of the last 30 years, cheers Sainternist
Good to know someone else on the forum is familiar with it and the great Aussie three piece.

I also love the Led Zeppelin classic, but I was referring to a song called 'Battlesick' by the Aussie band The Mark of Cain.

Just a thought but maybe we could call him "Battle" as in Battle.
Very similar to the name he got from his father.
