Surprise win.
But Adelaide are downhill skiers.
Melbourne did them over and now this.
Let's see if the Hawks can win two in a row.
I have my doubts.

If we gave up (say) pick 4 and 10 for Kelly then we would have to ask for pick 18 back.

We want north to win now, gives us a chance to make the eight come the end of the round, and pushes hawks back down to 17th. Never thought I would support North, even if only for a game

It is such an even year that our two picks could range from 2 to 13.

Blues within striking distance half way through last quarter. Win for them would be handy.
Want the Kangas to get another one under their belts. Well within the realms of possibility.
And, of course, looking to the Magpies to knock off the Hawks.

We really need the Pies to win today.
This is a big game for us.

A lot of Saints will be torn today but...

Anyone watch the under 18's?

Cameron Rayner looks very nice.

Watched him kick three against the Allies, including a nice little run and kicking it from 45 at full tilt.

Looks powerful.

Not 18 until Novemberish I think

What would happen if Hawthorn was disqualified from this year's draft for cheating or some heinous crime allegedly committed by one of it's players and his associate? What happens to that first round pick? It would be just our luck wouldn't it? The AFL would probably compensate us with a pick at the end of the first round! I only suggest this bizarre scenario because nothing unusual happened in the Fremantle game, as has been the norm. Surely there's time for a controversy to erupt before Saturday night. Vickery and Mitchell allegedly betting on Walters kicking the winner or some such?

They can't take a dp off them that's not theirs.

Can't happen

I can confidently say you are not alone in expressing that sentiment.

So does every other football barracker other than those who should be ashamed to say that they support the filth but aren't.

Not 18 until Novemberish I think

Sadly, very likely to be the number one draft pick which means we have no hope of getting him.

Is it out of the question that we try and trade up in the draft if we land ourselves a good free agent as well?

Problem is that there are not that many good free agents.

Agreed. We're going to have to trade to land that "big fish" we've been talking about.

Birchall a gun...no coincidence hawks win a couple after his return.

Hawks are unfortunately playing very well against GWS with a very defensive gameplan that is forcing GWS into errors.

If they win today it will put paid to gaining a top 4 pick.

Bugga, that draw will probably cost us about 3 draft pick places :(

Though on the plus side it was still better than the Hawks winning.
