No. We definitely got the rub of the green tonight. Amazing what happens when the crowd get involved.......Should be more of it.

There is a pattern in footy though. If you are first in at the footy, and go in the hardest and lowest, you tend to get the frees. Our game is based on rewarding players who put their head over the footy and the win the ball. WE've gotten better at that and hence the frees are not going against us like previously. As much as Selwoods knee drop shoulder shrug thing is annoying, he puts his head in the hole like few others and hence gets frees.

Don't disagree with you overall, but some of the early stuff for mummy was freaky. Will watch the replay though, but you are right, if you are hitting the ball, you are in the game

We certainly got the rub of the green. Lots of home town frees. Can't complain though as usually we are are on the other end of it.

Absolute win for us with the umpires. Either the umpiring today effected the result, meaning that we got robbed in Perth, or it doesn't impact it that much

Quite a few GWS players whining and carrying on tonight...we know what happens when you do that

Certainly in the second half they favoured us. Had some shockers against us as well - the 'block' against Longer and the 'push' against Membrey were about as bad as you can get. We did receive a ridiculous deliberate call though and Billings should have been pinged for an early leap in the last quarter. It was quite frustrating when our manic tackling wasn't being rewarded in the first quarter.

Amazing what happens to a game when they don't decimate us. Two weeks in a row now.
We'd be 6 and 1 if we had a decent run at it.Single handedly gifted wc the game, and don't under estimate how hard we had to work in the Geelong game to get back into it after the first quarter corruption that gifted Geeling a 3 goal lead.

Carlisle received one of the softest frees of all time when he was tackled on the boundary line.

That umpire number 12 is awful. Needs to be dropped.

I thought the same on the Carlisle free but when I watched the replay it was against the other Giant who made high contact. Still a bit soft.

We could have actually had another 10+ frees from incorrect disposal/holding the ball that they were continuously allowed to get away with.
Umpire interpretations changing week to week is %#@% frustrating!!

To be fair though, they did get away with about 12 blatant throws.

22 to 10 in our favour.
The umpires obviously got the teams mixed up.
AFL HQ will be furious that their team lost the game.
The umpires will be disciplined.

126 to 125 in our favour for the season to date.
But GWS 124 to 158 against them.
GWS is not liked by the umps - Mumford 21 & Toby Greene 15 the competitions 2 worst.

I said at stages that we were not being rewarded for effort and if we did get the rewards we would be right in it

That along with problems when they got a player out, the way they rebounded down the ground after we kicked a point and our inability to clear our defensive zone after they scored a point kept them in it - plus us gifting a couple of goals

But during the later stages I mentioned that we got some luck and was the pendulum swinging

It did

Got a good run for once, but should have got another 10+ frees...they were given the benefit of the doubt when taking on the tackler over and over. The umpires extremely kind to Mumford, Cameron and Patton, but not fans of Stevie J :D

First half they missed 5 that should have been paid to us, and paid one to them shouldn't have been. After that, they were fine

If umps paid holding the ball frees early in the game, it sets the tone. And players will try to dish off quicker.
There were a lot that should've been called early
