Poster of the year surely Mods?

What should the prize be?
Send him somewhere for a year - a free holiday.

Preferably somewhere with no internet connection.
I have found just the spot

And there it is. Bluthy, you've found the laugh track again.

Give Pierce a chance.

Cracking post. Kudos.

To the top wrote:My expectation from here is that we win the final 2 games easily, finish 2016 with 12 wins and 10 losses, equal 8th with NM (Melbourne losing to Geelong) but out of the finals on percentage only.

That is the spring board for 2017 - and a return to September action.

And it is the reason the Club will attract the player (s) it requires from opposition sides.

The pressure that will be on these players in 2017 courtesy of expectation starts now.

So forget this nonsense of "giving kids their first game to see what they can do" or the likes of Templeton getting another game to again show he is not at AFL standard.

We need our best side on the park, delivering expected wins.

Injuries apart, it is only those who failed to perform last week who would be in danger of being replaced - BUT we had very few contributors in the VFL loss so who comes up apart from Webster?

I hope the club sees it the same way we do.

Big job for Lewey as number 1 ruck but I think theres more scope with him rather than Billy
If Minchy was played a bit in the centre I reckon you might see he does have something to offer. He currently has the dirtiest job in football (the graveyard shift if you will). And at a time we are crying out for more players to be rotated through the midfield so we don't leave it to the same four week in and week out.

Minchington is in the same category as Wright and Savage - and those featuring in the best players at Sandringham but not getting AFL opportunities - they are not up to the mark at AFL level for one reason or another and represent our soft under belly which needs to be addressed - including in regards depth.

We are still half a dozen players short of the mark in putting the preferred 22 on the park, including in structure plus we have some first choice stalwarts nearing the end of their careers.

Our recruiting for 2017 is going to be vital (acknowledging we will have Carlisle and Freeman available for a full pre-season).

I imagine Savage is seen by the coaches as a valued player,
because he was dropped once last year and has played nearly every game since coming back in.
Does he need more numbers ie possessions, does he need to have more presence and more impact?
What's lacking?
Just asking

IMO Savage is an outside player who needs to be fed the ball - and then has his reputation because of his disposal.

To play as a defender you require more skills than this one positive.

Now if we could combine Geary and Savage!

Then you have the player you are looking for.

Permanently. Over on Big Footy, BB, if you want to get your fill of his brand of "humour". Not to my tastes as far as being funny and clever. Prolific and consistent would be my description, IMHO of course.

Personally i reckon its time for Eli, White, Longer, Webster, Geary and Shenton to get a gig.
Outs Fisher (inj) Hickey (inj 1-2) this is according to sctalk, Wright, Minch.
i know it doesnt add up but i dont think you can make more than 4 changes unless theres injuries. But definitely against the lions id be giving more kids a game.

In: SHENTON, ELI, LEE & LONGER
Out: McKenzie, Wright, Hickey (Inj) & Fisher (Inj)

Rest Geary this week again, otherwise in for Gilbert or McCartin.

unless he is injured , I hope McKenzie stays in.

A ruckman for Hickey obviously - prefer Billy as he needs to a reminder of what is required

Fisher out. Geary In.

Wouldnt mind seeing Bruce play CHB or FB this week and let Roo play CHF.

Gears is doubtful at this stage.

Chips a test for the Brisbane game, in what would probably be his last game.

Hickey hopefully back for Lions game.

Gears has to pass a fitness test to play this week.

So do we bring in Longer, Holmes or Pierce (or some combination?)

Out: Fisher, Hickey, Wright
In: Longer, Lee , Shenton

With Vickery and Jack R need to give Dempster a cut out unless they plan to use Gilbert and Dempster alone . If Lee does get a game pack the bags - might see young White come in if Lee misses?
