I bagged him incessantly in the past, but now change my mind, he gets body on body, will not give ground and never ever gives up.
He drives the backline and sets a huge standard, and I imagine Robbo (who I have bagged in the past) has learnt a lot from Gears and seems to have stepped up another level.
Robbo against the Cats, and tonight, shows real class and guts.
Gears' influence rubbing off on him.

I absolutely dip my hat to this guy. His defensive skills and pure nous saved us tonight several times. ability to back into an opponent and back him away from the ball is first class. His last few weeks have propelled him from meh to an elite stopping backman. Totally loving what he brings every week.
