Auckland and Tassie on the agenda

Post: # 1617187Post SemperFidelis »

Auckland for a game in 2019, provided they can find a place to hold it.

And an attempt to get back to Tasmania (North and South) for a couple of games a year.

The 2 game Tassie has been asked for for a couple of years now

and good on them for continuing to try the NZ idea- much preferred to being sucked into China

I was thinking at the Weekend- NT mid year would be nice- a State/ territory I haven't visited yet.. :P

100% agree on NT. A game in Alice and a game in Darwin. Great break in Winter.

Better late than never

Don't like growing into NZ
But ANZAC day versus a low drawing club like Bris/GWS
2 games in Tassie + a Pre Season games in NZ (with Fitness Camp) + Tassie with community camp

Intra Club at Moorabbin plus VFL

Family Days at Junction, and light open trainings/recovery to keep a presence

Involvement in a Bayside Academy (u15 through to u21) involving Stk/Dandy Stingrays/Frankston VFL/Sandringham/MPNFL VFL to operate out of Seaford. Funding supported by AFL Vic. Details to be considered carefully.

Look to Tas and NZ for sponsorship partners

A great name incorporated into Moorabbin
Jeans, Lockett, Harvey or Baldock

We need to own
StK-Portsea
Support our roots in Tassie
Do not ignore Frankston fully
Own the small NZ market. Scholarships to Academy 1 per year.

Your not missing much. It's either stinking hot or wet. Or both.

The Rock is well worth seeing and climbing (great view from the top!) as is Kings Canyon in the centre. Jim Jim and Twin Falls up the top is beautiful also.
I was once on a camping trip there many moons ago and got about 50 mozzie bites on both legs!

Unfortunately all the 'ethic/indigenous academy regions have been handed out already up here - so i can't see the point. But the weather in Darwin or Alice is glorious in 'winter'. perfect for good footy - daytime in Alice, night match in Darwin - ideal.

Very happy. This will secure our club for the long term. I'm hearing 2 games per year which is excellent. I still say done right there is no reason we can't have 10,000 kiwi based members within 10 years. But the flow on effect is what really excites me. Imagine if all the kiwis that emigrate to Australia automatically barrack for St Kilda. That would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
