Changes vs Hawks

Post: # 1606336Post The Recruit »

Roo out Membery In
Roberton out Lee in
Paddy out Acres in

All through injury. Still don't feel comfortable with Gilbert in the team just don't know where his spot is....while his goal was amazing he struggles as a forward..? He will play next week though.

I hate being a one week wonder boy... seriously Gilbert played an unblemished game yesterday. in about 4 positions. he wont be going out. i know where your coming from as a few boys be a bit Jekyll and Hyde.

With only 72 rotations yesterday due to the injuries the boys have a few too many miles in the legs for one game.

Richo stated this needs to be managed during the week. I wonder if a player or two may need to be rested which will make a few more changes?

I reckon Roo and Paddy will play. Lee for Roberton? Got to find out if Tom's part of the future. With Carlisle returning next year and Hugh likely to step up, it's getting hard to see where he might fit in.

I think Paddy needs to feel like he belongs.
I think he plays seniors or not at all next week

Need to wait to see who available to play. After that effort you would only make forced changes. Sounds like Robbo will be out for a bit so maybe this is a chance to get Goddard in although Hawks without Roughhead don't have huge forwards, so maybe Lee comes in.

Agreed. Unless if they play. The ins don't come in.

Also Gilbert must play midfield or forward. This is were he is more damaging.

1/ If he misses it will be due to concussion..so would not play.

2/ Sandy has a bye next week and so even if fit could not play for Sandy next week.

Out: Robertson (inj)
Mccartin ( Conc)
One other mid for management

In: Membrey
Wright
Acres

Membrey straight swap for mccartin. I don't think Roberton is a key defender, so with fisher Dempster and Gilbert flexible, don't think Lee comes in for mine. I think he's behind Goddard, but in front of Delaney as a replacement for fisher or Dempster only. Therefore a more mobile running defender and wright is probably ahead of Murdoch imo. Listening to Richo, there will probably be a change for man management so acres clearly first can off the rank.

Good luck finding a volunteer. I'd like to see Acres in, too, but who do you drop?

Could have kicked straighter I guess. But tough call on anyone after a good win like that

Dropping Lonie is laughable. His forward pressure was fantastic. Could have easily ended up with 4-5 goals.

In : Goddard
Out : Roberton

If McCartin misses, which I hope he doesn't, Acres comes in and starts forward

Didn't Goddard get concussed in the VFL?
