Not living in dreamland bbm. The club got a big kick up the backside this week from all quarters after the embarrasing effort against the Dogs, and this is the response we wanted as supporters and members. The next step is to follow up with another big team effort.

However some of the things said about some of the kids was not what true supporters say about their players.

its about being loyal and not jumping off the bus when things get tough.Anyone can see that the players are playing for and believe in Richo. He has a vast amount of coaching experience and is teaching these players superbly. Some of the uninformed and ridiculous comments about him and the players
are beyond belief.

I just want to say when you step off a 10.5 hour flight, turn on your phone and find out your team is 30 points up mid way through the third it sure helps you get over the flight pretty smartly!

McEvoy trade definitely looking like a win/win now. Savage played a blinder and Hickey was great, with Longer able to come back when fit. I remember watching a Gold Coast v Magpies game at the G several years ago on TV and was really impressed with Hickey when he went forward. He kicked 4 goals on a wet deck in a struggling team that day and I knew he would be a good risk for us. I still think we will only win about 7 games but wins like this one really give me some heart. How good will this side be when we get Carlisle next year?!?
Our last 2 games at the G were very good. We seem to play the G a lot better than we did years ago.

You discuss each game as it is played. Last week the Saints were very poor. Joey certainly stated that today.

Today we were very good. Today showed what can happen when you play well and do the right things. Last week showed what happens when you cough up the ball easily and through poor skill execution.

Man there's some chest beating here, and some pot kettle black hypocrites ... But they honestly do believe they are superior supporters... I mean seriously.

Last week we were shocking, as a team deserved some criticism. There was one poor thread about Dempster, a shocked about McCartin.

And some natural venting which is what a forum is for, it's a passionate game... Sensitive supporters take it to heart and get personal...

I was absolutely thrilled with today's game... A little surprised, not totally though as I gave us a good chance. Hard to believe I know, but ALL saints supporters. are happy when we win, not just the 'good' ones...some supporters are just very unhappy when we lose!!!!

Yep I was negative last week. I said we are 3 good midfielders short and that we have alot of GOPs and short of Billings we are short on class. Never doubted their effort.
Loved the way they beat Pies today....obviously we all are. Reckon the Pies were as bad this week as the Bulldogs were good last week.They are not playing for Buckley and were insipid. Allowed Monty and Billings to go nuts. Some very good signs today but we were given soooo much room and time it was a joke.
If the youngsters can give a 4q showing vs Hawks it will be a legit turning point game.
