Another couple of brothers were Jack and Tom Meehan.

Jack was a sergeant of police I used to work with years ago at D.24.

Jack's claim to fame is:........... on the cover of Jack Dyer's (Captain Blood) autobiography - Dyer -of Richmond fame. There is a photo of Dyer, fending off a St. Kilda player ,fist to his face. That is Jack Meehan, however incorrectly it has always been labelled that it was Tom Meehan.

I don't know if that was true or not, but that is what Jack told me, and because he was my boss and an ex-St Kilda player, who was I to doubt him???????
Jack Meehan, according to AFL records, wore numbers 37 and 2 at St Kilda.

Tom Meehan wore number 21.

The Sainter in the photo with Jack Dyer is wearing no. 21.

I never knew Russell Greene had a brother. He was friends with a mate of mine's family I used to stay with frequently when I was growing up. He seemed like a terrific bloke. Even though he was playing with Hawthorn around that time, he still had a real soft spot for the Sainters. He would still be attending the family day events and so forth. I'm sure he's still interested in how we're going and hopes we'll win that elusive premiership soon enough.

Shane Crawford's brother Justin played a few gams then dissapeared totally.

Brett Lee/Shane Lee

Peter Brock's brothers

The Rugolo brothers who played at Melbourne in the 1980s

You could almost put the father/son combo of Silvio and Matthew Foschini in this list!

USELESS FACT: The WADA case against Essendon (in Sydney as well) is exactly 10 years to the day that Australia qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Why its brothers? The Rugolo brothers were both less famous.

Barry Pascoe was probably our first genuine ruck-rover in the Barassi mold...
