Sandringham have finished 2nd and will host a final this weekend against Williamstown, as such we will be holding a pre match Presidents Luncheon.

The luncheon will be held before the game on Sunday, September 6 commencing at 12.15pm - our guest speakers will be VFL/VFA icon Phil Cleary and also Hawthorn legend Peter Hudson, cost is $35pp which includes a 2 course meal with drinks available at bar prices, all members and visitors are welcome to attend - Bookings are essential.

AFL Victoria will be manning the gate so it will also cost to get in the ground ($15 for adults), unfortunately we do not have any passes and Sandringham/St Kilda memberships will not gain entry into the ground.

Sandy have a restriction but I don't think the VFL do anymore.

20.2 Subject to Regulation 20.3 below, players who have played with the AFL Senior team of any AFL Club after the 1st day of July in the relevant season shall be ineligible to play in the VFL Senior or AFL Victoria Development League Finals unless they have played a total of at least six (6) Senior VFL or AFL Victoria Development League matches in the same season.



20.3 Players who have not played at least two (2) AFL Victoria Development League matches in the relevant season shall be ineligible to play in the AFL Victoria Development League Finals save where immediately prior to selection, an AFL or VFL listed player has missed through injury, at least ten (10) consecutive home & away matches of the VFL football season and his club remains active in the senior VFL Finals series.

22 saints have already qualified to play finals with Sandy.

Simpkin, Goddard, McCartin, Murdoch, Curran, Acres, Membrey, Ross, Lee, White, Michington, Saunders, Marksworth, Wright, McKenxie, Hickey, Holmes, Saad, Siposs, Pierce, Payne, and Baker-Thomas.

Out from that list
- Baker-Thomas- only Devp game
Payne- injured
Membrey- surgery
Lee- Surgery
Wright- injured

Curran- trying to get back for later finals when/ if Sandy get through

leaving Eligible
Simpkin, Goddard, McCartin, Murdoch, Curran, Acres, Ross, Michington, Saunders, Markworth, McKencie, Hickey, Holmes, Saad, Siposs, Pierce,

then depends on how achy and recovering others are- Acres, Mccartin-

I don't think there's any restriction this week.

Notwithstanding the provisions of this Rule 20, except for Regulation 20.6 below,when a Club has both of its Senior Grade (AFL or VFL) teams engaged on the same weekend, the selection of players in the VFL Senior Grade team shall be unrestricted, provided a player has participated in at least one (AFL or VFL) Senior Grade or AFL Victoria Development League match in that relevant season.
