They can't all be superstars Teflon. You need a core of good solid professionals. Of which Ray is one.

I'd keep him, he has terrific overhead marks, and is versatile.

We also have Roberton, Savage and Newnes who can play a similar position.

If any other club wants him he should go but I doubt anyone would be interested in a 29 year old who has played more reserves games than senior games this year. A perfect reason we shouldn't be interested either but it seems we are. Still haven't worked out why,

Because they obviously know there are 5 or 6 others who they are going to let go at the end of the year.

He can ask for 2 years but doesn't mean he's going to get it.

Has faults but been a solid player. His time is almost up and I'd prefer we moved on and got on with it.

Totally agree with this. A senior player who only played a few games this year and doesn't really provide extra leadership is a waste of a spot.

Agreed he should go if so, but he'll probably only get 1 elsewhere as well. I'd expect him not to hold out too long.
