41 is too high for Saad I think. Obviously his first season was a great success, but his 2nd year was well below that (even prior to any of the drug issues surfacing....)

I would not use any more than a rookie pick for him. If we were going to use 41 on him in the National Draft, then we really should have kept him on the list while he served his suspension to begin with.

I'd much prefer a Caleb Daniel (who clearly we are into), Ramsey the Pirate, or something similar at 41. Someone who could potentially be an A-grader, but comes with some sort of risk attached, as opposed to someone who will probably never go beyond a solid B (who, in Saad's case, still has risk involved).

I think Schneider is gone either way - we can't pass at 41 and keep him, and there isn't really anyone else on the list in the gun for that 9th free spot. The only other alternative is upgrading 3 rookies (which could be a possibility if Eli's rehab is taking longer than expected - despite the announcement we've made about his upgrade - it's not done till it's done....).

Apart from constant injuries was he lacking drive also?

Unmotivated due to being injured so often perhaps? ?

Your second reason is spot on. He's very contented now, just got married up North and quite a few of the boys celebrated with him

Good on you. How was the wedding? Did you drive our new sponsors product to Byron?

I'll pay that. Great comeback.

P.S. Don't completely give up on Mitsubishi. There's still dialogue.

Congrats to Mr and Mrs Schneiderman. I'm still kind of a bit bemused why Schneider was rookied when he could barely get out on the ground last year. I guess he does provide some experienced backup. Heaven forbid but if Rooey got injured then its an incredibly green fwd line with Lee, Membry, White, McCartin, Lonie and Markworth only having a handful of AFL games between them. Billings would be our forward veteran! And Schneider is a clever player who knows where and when to get space on the fwd line so can pass on his knowledge to billings, Lonie, Saad etc.

for a person who has me on ignore you find it very hard to ignore me. Anyway you are right Stinger im envious of a poster named tony74 but im not envious of a poster named Stinger but I do feel sorry for those that actually may know the person who writes that stuff. Real sorry. And I have no idea why we rookied Schneider but I also have no idea why we rookied Saad. Hopefully we will see some benefits though.
