Re: Round 17 Team v NM
Definitely is. How the heck is Bruce not back in the side? While Gwilt and Dempster are still in?
I don't get those changes at all!

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
Longer maybe getting a rest, my only speculation regarding Bruce is that they expect bad weather in Hobart, so it is going to be a ground game, not much high marking.
Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
Minch stiff IMHO, we need someone who can develop as a small to nip at the heels of the forwards.
Thought he showed a bit.
That's zero forward pressure, unless Curren will get a run there?

Disappointed to see Minchington out as seemed to add a different dimension up forward
Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
All I can say is Wow, Fisher.
Good to see TC back
Would of liked to see Minchington continue on

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
With all due respect to Sam Fisher who has been a fantastic player for the club, but can someone explain how the hell he is in the side.
He has got through one full match at VFL level, and was hardly impressive last week. Bruce deserved a rub ahead of Fisher on form.

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
Bit disappointed with the team. Have absolutely no idea why you would play Gwilt ahead of Bruce, even if Gwilt was in form!
And if you are going to rush anyone in I wish it was Acres.
The remaining games this season is about finding out which middle of the road players will be part of the future, we already know where Fisher is at

Wow, they're really making an example of Bruce. Must have done something behind the scenes and is serving penance. Surely it can be the only reason why he's not playing

Didn't think we could make the side any slower. We've managed it though. Realy disappointed there is no Terry, but not suprised. Just dont get it sometimes.

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
I know North are tall but expected Bruce to come in after how impotent rnd 1 dimensional our forward line was last week.
Guessing with Fisher he may as well play seniors as if he gets injured again that is it.
Minchington may be a youth rotational thing, asa few above him in the order of dropping. TDL thanks for your efforts your card is marked. Longers got run around last week and after 6 weeks carrying the can needs a step back also .
No Bruce the biggest surpirse to me

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
How does Minch possibly deserve to be dropped? The only bloke out there who could hit a target and kicked 4 goals in two and a bit games (65% tog). Pretty upset for him but I hope like hell he responds well because if he drops his bundle, thats curtains which will be a massive shame.
As for Fisher, how he got in the best players I don't know, then how he gets selected I don't know, how he gets through a full afl standard match without breaking down I don't know. Good luck to him though.
Now, Brucey, I am just dumbfounded. I can only assume its the curse of the Saintsational sponsorship that is keeping him out of the team. Has played well when in the team, was bog last week, we desperately need someone to help Rooey or the back 6- bah, I don't get it. Jimmy...well...jimmy, don't know what to say there.

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
Minchi very stiff, is it a situation were the coaches rate him, want him go back the vfl, learn to find more footy without the burden of being in a losing team...because you can't deny he has class and is sharp and clean. For those that remember milney, how did he go in his first season or two in the afl, are there similarities?
I'm dissapointed that the selections don't reflect what Richo spoke so strongly about...there are guys still in the team that I don't think deserve to hold their spot, young and old. I don't think The match committee have shown the ticker to drop montagna after a horrible 2-3 games, his effort has not been there and Richo said players would pay the price for that...hollow words if not followed through on...

Re: Round 17 Team v North Melb
Agree St Ick - Minchington playing in the worst forward line in the comp getting the worst delivery and he is the only shining of the flankers who can kick a goal and hit a target and yney drop him for who?
Curren doesnt deserve a game on last weeks performance.
Fisher looked ridiculously out of touch.
Hickey still hasnt reached anywhere his past fitness levels.
Disgraceful selections Saints.

Oh to be a fly on the wall at match committee meeting!!! I'm as confused by selection as at any time during the a Watters era!
