When St Kilda is spoken about in football circles from now on, it shouldn't centre around the players who have left the club in the past couple of years.

Because the Saints showed in their 25-point loss to West Coast at Patersons Stadium on Saturday night that they aren't the easybeats many expected them to be. The water-cooler experts may have to choose another prospect for the wooden spoon.

Did anyone actually think that we would be wooden spooners? Seriously, anyone...? Have had a really good feeling about this year after attending the meeting with the Saints board and execs shortly after Watters was sacked and believe that their time frame for a flag is not ridiculous and has me excited about the next few of years. For the first time in our history, we are actually drafting and planning for a premiership from the board down to the bootstudders. We ARE NOT just flying on a wing and a prayer......

Correct, an opinion is basically a guess based on the facts that are in front of you. With the likes of Lenny, Roo, Fisher, Steven et al, did you honestly think they would let us sink that far? Really? That is what I question. We are not Melbourne with no experience or A grade players. To think that we were going too slump below them was never going to happen.

Still early and I could be proven wrong, but I can't see Melbourne winning 2 games this year based on execution and games they have played so far this year, no matter whom is coaching them!!
