Lets be honest, (some of)our supporters suck. Of all the supporting skills, such as backing your team, giving the young guys encouragement, keeping calm instead of desperate panic, barracking under pressure, applauding an honest contest rather than bemoaning a loss. These are the things that we used to do....when we had a winning team....its the supporters....

Lets be honest.....what else can we do other than get behind the club at times like this? I'm going to be there on Friday night, I'm not wildly overconfident about our chances of giving Hawthorn a towelling, but until the final siren goes who knows what may happen?!
I'm upgrading my membership for 2014, back to a 16 game, SC, reserved seat. Yeah mate, you're right it IS the supporters!!!!

Must mend my ways, and then we will win flags galore.

Milne is an absolute champion, no greater small forward has ever graced an AFL ground.

Riewoldt is better than Royce Hart, Ablett senior and Carey combined, all the set shots he misses are due cheating by the AFL and the umpires.
Our player are all perfect , it is the system, the KGB and the moon and the stars that keep us stranded on 1 measly flag.

Agree with the tone of the thread entirely. I have been going to Saints matches since Baldock's first season; still have vivid memories as a young boy of the first match at Moorabbin.

I've talked my boss into having a few hours off so I can drive home (1/2 hour) get my daughter out of school early (another 1/2 hour) and catch the train to tomorrow night's match (another 2 1/2 hours). With Buddy out we might escape with a 12 goal thumping before a 3 hour trip home. At least I can enjoy the quality father / daughter time which is likely to be more memorable than the game.

Also, great to see a grown up in Blakey back to shore up the backline. He'll rest easy tonight in the knowledge he doesn't get monstered by Franklin.

To everybody else, just go to the game and enjoy the occassion even if you mightn't enjoy the result.
