Kosi he is now completey useless. Get him to 200 quick.

But what the f@ck is Rhys excuse? What the hell is he doing?

Two big stuff ups that cost us goals.

The effort on the goal line was pathetic but then he followed up by getting in McEvoy way.

Not good enough Rhys.

You are correct. He is not living up to anything at all.

However, he was going to actually mark a ball for once when McEvoy spoiled him - not each other.

Starting to really fear that Stanley won't make it. Can't complete basic plays and refuses to take the game on and use his speed and skills.

Can't say his development has been handled brilliantly. No luck with injuries, either. I'd love to see some continuity is his management. Personally, I reckon he's a ruck man/forward and should be used as such. At the moment, he might be our best bet in the ruck, as it appears Mac is struggling with injury and form.

Rhys was pick 69 or something in the draft.
Why do people have high expectations on him? Because he is fast, blonde and tall?
He is not the messiah and he isnt Roos replacement.
Just chill out and let be himself.

This is it. Until we can secure a decent fullback he will be played out of position. Agreed he is a ruck/forward, but we need him down back with all the injuries there.

He wasn't pick 69... And what's that got to do with anything?

Has athleticism and some talent... Not great game sense.

Ok 47 ffs.
It has a lot to do with it.
People have very high expectations based on what?
I would suggest based on non-football factors - height speed and hair colour and he looks a little like Roo and people are looking for a replacement for Roo.
The fact is objective judgments made by 16 or 17 clubs recruitment staff (who know more than any of us) made an objective judgement that he was only just a top 50 pick in his year.
So why do we expect him to be better than that?
You tell me BM.

Im not saying he wont end up awesome. Just saying that would be a bonus if it happens. People seem really disappointed when he doesnt dominate like they expect it to happen
Im just asking why people expect that from him?
What is it based on?

Agree. I was talking about his poor defensive efforts. He looked ordinary.

I also agree with both WW and JB on Stannly.

My problem with him is he looks like he has never played football because his reading of the play is awful.

My lordy there are some numbskull overreactional critics on here.

Rhys is 22 years old and played 33 games - give him a friggin break

This is the first season he has been able to string a few games together and as has been pointed out he is being played out of position.

We probably wont see the best of Rhys for another few years in the meantime he is getting valuable experience and is injury free.

In a few years time - another 50 games - he will be an absolute beast and at an age with experience where he will be able to influence games.

I feel Rhys would do better in the forward line, he does not seem to know what its all about playing in the backline, some 1 on 1 training might help, every week he gives away free kicks.

No - NOW! NOW!

Has to be NOW I tells ya.

And dragit - you are correct, I was told Lee and Hickey were world beaters.

And what about the Spencer Wight. What a waste of a pick.

NOW.

I wont them to have played 50-60 seniors games NOW.

Not when they do, but this second.
