Breath Testing players at training???

Post: # 1237442Post saintspremiers »

In light of the Jack Steven disgrace, should our club buy a breath test machine and test players, at the very least, at recovery sessions the day after games?

Not hard to do.

Thoughts ?

Why??? They are not the police. Unless there are now rules stipulated by the AFL, AFLPA and the clubs that say that they are not allowed to drink???

i feel for the lad.... its not like he was drinking and drove himself home...

hard to judge the next day, but it serves as a good warning for everyone (not just players) that u can get pinged the next day...

fortunately, most of these lads live together, so he should be right for a lift to training and games for the next 6 months

Maybe the club should rethink calling a training or recovery session so early the next morning after a night game. I always thought sleep was the best recovery .

What would they know? Much better to listen to any old hack rather than people with qualifications.

No..... They're adults.

Even if they don't act it at times.

The Mr works in the mining industry and even though he is in an office in Melbourne he has to have a zero reading when in the building - same as the boys on the mines.

They are randomly tested just to keep them on their toes.
