Happy to reply to any queries anyone has about my 'modding' activities. Strange how being a mod creates a degree of perceived 'separation'.

There was no PM requesting punishment. There was a reported post and in following that up, I suggested that people should respect the poster's wishes and that if they don't, after repeated requests, then it becomes baiting.
Following the reported post, he actually accepted my offer of support, rather than him pushing for his own way and the mods reacting to that.

If you had any kind of ongoing interaction with Beau Maister and continued to call him Wilkes, even though he'd made it clear as day that he didn't want to be called that, it might be seen as a bit discourteous. If after his repeated requests to call him Maister, you continued to call him Wilkes even though it clearly pissed him off, then it would be just plain rude and disrespectful.

It is not important for you to know or understand Bunk_Moreland's reasons, it is only important for Bunk and the mods to know, and it only important for you to abide by the rule set out.

And Bunk_Moreland has not claimed to be anyone on SS other than Bunk_Moreland, it is only disrespectful, and discourteous other posters attempting to bait and start flame wars by referring to Bunk_Moreland as other nic's whom Bunk_moreland is not.

Truth - joffaboy posted on bigfooty that he would never post on SS again - please find a post from joffaboy where he has posted since then on SS.

Truth - joffaboy had many conversations with a mod, no abuse, and joffaboy asked to be disabled.

Truth - joffaboy did have robust disagreements with many posters, had many on ignore. Bunk_Moreland, does not engage in this type of forum behaviour and abides by forum rules and moderator decisions

You are entitled to your opinion, but BM does not agree, and more importantly the mods dont either. Their decision has been made, however it seems like there are many on here who dont like the umpires decision.

BFUSA decided that the forum needed cleaning up, so the forum rules were re-written, other moderators came on board, and the forum rules STRICTLY enforced.

Now there are a core cabal of miscreants who dont want to play by the rules because it doesn't suit them. They dont want to abide by moderation decisions because they seem to know better, but never want to take on the onerous taks of moderating.

St.Byron has on numerous occasions outline the reasons for his decisions on the Bunk_Moreland being called joffaboy issue. It is RIGHTLY deemed as baiting and against forum rules. The very same ones many on this very thread applauded and backed.

Courage of convictions is a moot point it seems

Anyway the era of Joffaboy is finished, the era of Bunk_Moreland is here and it doesn't matter how much baiting or provocation recidivist posters use, Bunk_Moreland will not be drawn into petty squabbles and will not be provoked.

Bunk_Moreland will politely point out the error tof the other posters ways, will alert them to the forum rules, give them due warning, and if all else fails, will use the report facility (as the moderators have encouraged BM to do in the above scenario).

It is then up to the moderators to adjudicate on the particular grievence. I will abide by the decisions (again as St.Byron has pointed out at least twice that BM has done so on this issue) of the moderators.

It is a pity others on here think they are above forum rules and wont do the same.

To answer your very interesting and thought provoking question DR Spaceman.

The situation is quite simple. The moderators have decided that calling Bunk_Moreland another nic is baiting.

The reasons for this were outlined to the moderators by BM and they were accepted as valid.

It is not important for yourself or anybody else to know the reasons.

However it is important for you and others to

a) abided by the forum rules
b) abide by moderator decisions
c) show a modicum of courtesy towards a very reasonable request from a fellow Saints supporter and contributor to Saintsational.

Unfortunately point c is in short supply, which is very disappointing to Bunk_Moreland.

I am sure a valued and sensible contributer such as yourself would be disappointed as Bunk_Moreland is Dr.Spaceman.
