Stephen Hill isn’t pushing anyone out of our back 6. Imagine this place when the 2020 Round 1 team is announced and S. Hill is on a half back flank and Coffield is at Sandy?

Everyone’s a winner in that deal
How many best and fairest has Brad Hill won?
He won Freo's in 2017 in his first year at the club.

He would be a great get. 26 y.o. 117 games. Would fit our list really well. And he’s quick. Get him.

I hope this is accurate and FFS get his brother as well, he is a free agent and will costs nothing but $.
Two Hills are better than one!

Throw a truck load of cash at Stephen so Freo get a 1st rounder compensation for him and give our first pick for Brad, with two first rounders coming they might give us something decent in return.

Guessing Ratten will be coach and the connection with Hill from Hawthorn days is a lure.

If we can throw (reported) $800K at Hannebery who is past his best and three years at Kent a deal for two Hills is a no brainer.

DO IT!

Out :
Stuv
First rounder

In :
Charlie Constable
Brad Hill

Our midfield would instantly look better and be something to build a decent side around. Add Max King and IF........if Hannebery can get fit and deliver some decent footy....the optimism levels for next year would be significantly higher.

Cream on the cake : Stephen Hill and Ben King
Cherry on top : Tomlinson

Roberton. I like your optimism. Unlikely though it would seem. Also, Battle is part of the future I reckon.

Imagine the Hills tearing up the Marvel wings?
Roberton plays, two X Hill, King develops into a regular and a bit of injury luck and we play finals.

Yep. Battle, Wilkie, Coffield all developing. Ben King to replace Carlisle. Adding Max King to make Membrey the third marking target would add significant breadth to the forward line.

OK so I'm hearing the following.

Hill will request a trade to St.Kilda. This is going to happen. We must be throwing the kanga.
His bro will end up at G.C
Tomlinson.... Finally will end up at us via free agency. FINALLY.
Conigs will either stay or Hawthorn/St.Kilda.

Goldstein might move to us, may not want to anymore.
Zac Jones still making up his mind. Last round might make it up for him.

If we got Hill and Tomlinson.... Coniglio can get stuffed.

Hill and Tomlinson and Goldstein would mean we play finals

Add Coniglio and we could do a Brisbane and qualify top 4

Told you all Hill was thinking of the Saints a bit back which I got lambasted for. Deal still needs to be secured though and its early days.

Get it done Gubby! 🤝

It’s interesting... haven’t been able to attract an elite player in 3 years

Within the last few weeks a bunch seem to be lining up

Is Gubby Allan involved?
He obviously is but deals still need to be secured. I wonder if they are telling our targets Ratten is the next coach. Hmm...

May I ask where you are hearing that he is a genuine chance to St Kilda. I am asking that as I have not read or heard that anywhere of late.

I suspect that you rate Tomlinson much higher than I do.

Cogs is what we need most.
--I doubt that we get him. My guess is GWS or Hawks, and the longer ot goes on the Hawks.

Hill will be very good for us as we need what he offers. Just not quite as much as Cogs does.
-- He is very gettable by us (As he has already won 2 Flags he will be more tempted by very good money)

Then way below those is Tomlinson who I see more as ok in many positions , but master of none.
-- As a FA, and not a star he is extremely gettable by us.
*** Hopefully with us by being allowed to settle he can bloom (mind you he is almost 26). I suspect the club might fancy him as a FB to replace Brown, but who will be much more attacking. He has 5 years, 100 games and extra mass and height on Battle. Battle will get stronger and more experienced.

Unsurprisingly I am not attracted to a defence including Geary, Savage and Webster

Plus Roberton at CHB

We have been a struggling Club for a number of years and we continue to rely on defenders who have played during that period of time and particularly in 2018

Time to acknowledge the problem and move on

With Clark and Coffield we have 2 class support defenders then with Roberton available we are much improved

Then there are Carlisle and Battle - so what we need is a successor to Brown at full back

I do not see either Carlisle or Battle as options at full back - they are both just too good and too valuable to be last line key defenders

And I have always believed that good sides are built from defence so I have a bias

With a bit of wotk from Gubby, maybe, just maybe it could look something like this

B: Geary Tomlinson Savage
HB: Roberton Carslile Wilke
C: B Hill Steele S Billings
HF: Billings King Gresham
F: Lonie Bruce Membrey

R: Marshall Cog's (Clark) Hannebery

INT From: S. Hill Acres Dunstan Coffield Battle Hind Sinclair Long Paton

Sadly Steven is traded
Ross traded

Roberton McCartin and steven are gone

We must get Constable, BKing and Hill.

Constable and Rnd 3 for Steven
BKing - Pick 6
but how to get B.Hill?
Future First? and hope we play finals so pick 12?
