Just saw Cox’s video injury report. All he said was further tests. Nothing else. How pathetic is that not giving any sort of info? Treating us like fools.

Not sure I agree with this SP.
This isn't a normal issue. We don't own Roberton. This is a private issue to a degree. The other thing is that the club may well not know much more. My mum)who has never drank or smoked) out of the blue had an elevated HR a couple of months ago. She's been on meds and the HR is now normal. After a million tests they still don't know what caused it

Are you for real?
What do you want? A full cardiac report on facebook?

He is actually ok if you read and watch the reports. Tony74 said he is ok also.

Glad she is OK. They could give some more info, as to what they already know and what they suspect is wrong. If they haven’t a clue what went wrong and his heart is functioning normally, then say that. I have no issues with further tests.

They’re doing tests and don’t know when he’ll be available. I don’t need to know more than that.

I believe he's the small forward/midfielder who lives under the feet of the big, strong forward!

Concerned on a few fronts:

- we are only playing 4 up forward

- seems to be a distinct lack of mobility

- the talls aren't much bigger than the smalls

This outrageous.
No pink stool, what happened to AFL inclusiveness.
Let's see a pink stool.

INJURY NEWS

St Kilda’s Dylan Roberton has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a heart condition.

He remains hopeful this isn’t the end of his career.

Roberton collapsed during St Kilda’s clash with Geelong last month.

He said he doesn’t remember a whole lot about the incident.

“I just remember watching the ball go up and getting dizzy but that’s about it,” he said.

“It was a bit of a scare, probably more so for family and friends. I was fine straight away.”

Roberton reported “dizziness and a blackout” after the incident but was able to walk from the field.

All the best Robbo, puts a bit of prospective on footy, hopefully you can make it back next season, but your health is of most importance!!!!!

Change to get some more games into younger guys, so keep playing White etc, I say!!!!!

Update from saints.

Liam

St Kilda has released the following statement on Roberton:

Dylan Roberton will be sidelined for three months as we continue to monitor the cause of an irregular heartbeat.

Last week, Roberton had a device implanted to monitor his heart rate over the next three months. While doctors believe there is only a minor chance of the issue reoccurring, all precautions need to be taken before he returns to full training.

He will be assessed regularly during this time before having further tests to determine if things have returned to normal. During this period, he is permitted to do light exercise and is expected to take on an off-field role to support his teammates.

I hope he is fine and good on the club for putting he's welfare first. Young guy with a young family who has a lot to live for. Fingers crossed it was a one off

He seemed to indicate he probably wouldn't return at all this year

Would be really easy for the Saints to put the pressure on Robbo to get back out there, and 10 years ago I'm sure they would have.

Our game is better off today with the care the players are given.

I saw his video on Twitter, he's clearly gutted about not being able to help out his mates, but the next 70 years of his life are far more important than a season of footy.

Devastating for him and for the team, but so glad they are not taking any risks.

Trying to look at the upside, in what is clearly a development year, some of the kids will get a run

An interesting presser. Would’ve been better for Dylan to have his cardiologist there to explain the situation rather than putting pressure on a footy player to explain a very unusual situation.

I guess when you’re an elite athlete you’ve got to be very risk adverse - any normal job and you’d be fine to work. Hopefully he uses this period to see if life as an assistant coach/analyst etc is something for him. The bloke will need something post footy with 3 kids already!

Good luck Robbo
