The commentators pretty well summed the Richmond attitude to each other and the way they play the game. They learnt that attitude and built on it after they were flogged by the Saints last year. Because that was pretty much the last time the Saints played with a selfless and even relentless mindset.
There was a minor return to the style of play last week. Hopefully it can be extended and enhanced this week and for the rest of the season.

Re: Selfless
Dunno about that.
They lost to Geelong in Rd 21.
After that they won 5 in a row by 35 points or more.

Re: Selfless
Like to see how they go with injuries to there key four .
You know R,C,M,R.
They played 98 out of 100 games last year.
So often the premiers are the side that can keep there best team on the field
Tiges certainly did that last year.

Re: Selfless
That Tigers game was more one where everything went right for us and where the Tigers did not mentally turn up. And so you can pretty much ignore it as it showed very little except that uf we can play a game against witches hats that we go very well.

Re: Selfless
They never had a chance to get anything right IMO...the Tigers were the kings of bruise-free footy until late in the season, although I'm sure none of us expected them to wilt under the pressure we brought like they did. In the build up to the game Dimma publicly stressed over their need to stop our fast ball movement, but just couldn't counter the smothering pressure brought that night. We took the foot right off the pedal after half time and still won by, what, 67 points? The fact that they were so average last year they almost dropped out of the top 8 late in the season seems to have been conveniently swept under the carpet since their magnificent finals series. Dusty should have the keys to the city!saintsRrising wrote:That Tigers game was more one where everything went right for us and where the Tigers did not mentally turn up.
