The Young Brigrade v Giants

Post: # 1721381Post parkeysainter »

Awesome effort today! All against the top side and premiership favourite too.

The draw was great and it could turn our season around, but the younger brigade are looking fantastic - Coffield, Long, Paddy, Clark, Dunstan, Billings, Gresham, Steele, White, Acres, Ross. These guys have very bright futures and matched it with a club that has had more top 10 picks than we have had since our founding in 1873!

We also have Webster, Marshall, Battle and Rice who look like being part of our resurgence

Great call LTS. Lots to like in the under 25 bracket.

They played well, thats for sure. It helps when we play a game that allows them to use some footy instinct too

That is 11-15 players between 21-24 which is a good base to work on I think....

So we have had a draw that broke us and now maybe one that will make us.

Nice to play with no Opposition supporters. However, yes!!

Agree with most of the op except on Jade. I've been screaming for him amd JB to get a run at Sandy. I don't think it will do them harm in the long run

I'll reserve judgement on whether Gresh should be dropped for his efforts today until I watch the replay in the morning ( shhhhiiit, trying to make myself sound important as if my opinion counts for anything)

Saw Gresh trying to take short cuts and be too clever instead of concentrating on the basics. Saw him give away frees by being lazy instead of doing the work required. Saw him leading and going up against the talls instead of doing his job and crumbing the spillages. Saw him out the back instead of standing front and centre at times.

After three weeks to forget, St Kilda produced a much-improved performance that saw them nearly pull off the upset of the 2018 season so far. Despite falling three goals down in the last quarter against the ladder leading GWS Giants, the Saints refused to yield and even had a last gasp chance to steal a famous win before the final siren saw the premiership points shared with both teams level on 73 points apiece.

Just need to see a bit more from Gresham- great skills but needs to get more of the ball and not try to do flashy stuff...or try and outmark the bigger forwards

He actually spoilt a certain Hickey mark. Roo wasn't impressed.
