With Bruce gone for 6-8 weeks, it provides a huge opportunity for development for some players to step up :
Paddy - while he needs to work harder in 2nd and 3rd efforts , you cant turn rocks into gold, he has a skills set and he has deficiencies and the game plan needs to adapt, to some extent- as to the skill set we have available
Battle- Huge chance to play a number of consecutive games to get a taste of AFL and hopefully build confidence
Membrey - Once back chance to become the top dog in the forward line
Acres - Will likely be pushed forward at times and chance to develop that part of his game to be able to be like a Dangerfield/Martin/ Bontempelli that can push forward and use size and speed advantage in 1 on 1 contests
Marshall - If they want to play 2 ruckmen at times then his ability to rest forward and take a mark will be something he can work on.
Opportunity created

Re: Opportunity created
No excuses for McCartin this week.
Up against Henry (19 years old) and Kolodjashnij (22).

Re: Opportunity created
Huge opportunity for McCartin. He still needs a bit of love in regards to our ball use, but he should get more chances this week.
Would have liked to see Battle against the Cats inexperienced defense.
