Players 1-9 in same team.

Post: # 1719408Post kosifantutti »

Assuming no late changes, tomorrow will be only the second time since 2003 that the numbers 1-9 have played in the same Saints team.

The other occasion was round 2 last year with the same nine players. Before that you need to go back to Round 15 2003.

You can thank me later.

Lost to the Eagles in Perth.

Round 15 2003, lost to the Swans in Sydney.

Has there ever been a game when all our players had sequential numbers eg. 1-20, 1-22?

Yesterday was a wet Saturday and I got back to early sixties without finding a game where we had 1-12 all playing.

Round 1 2000, we had 1-11 playing.

I know you’ve been waiting for an update. We will be playing 1-9 for the third consecutive week and only the fourth time since 2003.

Richmond played 1-12 against Brisbane and won by 15 goals. I can see why they are premiership favourites.

A pity Savage is out. We could have had 1-11 this week.

Next time it's raining, I want to know the team with the highest number of players with prime numbers...

Tomorrow we'll have Carlilse, Steven, Dunstan, Clark, Lonie and Webster. Plus Gilbert, Goddard and Marshall as emergencies.

Primed for victory?

How about all odds or all evens?
I think there needs to be a body of work done on this.

Personally I would love us to do something groundbreaking and take the field wearing
either
- all prime numbers
- or take it to the next level with a Fibonacci series (without doubling up on 1).

I was actually so excited but then realised Savage is out.

We need Savage (5), Long (21) and Wright (34) back in the team to extend the Fibonacci sequence. Maybe coax David Winbanks (55) out of retirement.
