Lets hope some forumites remember this. You know, just in case he doesn't come out and kick a bag
No way he kicks a bag if our delivery inside 50 is as bad as it has been :)

Bruce really needs a few games for Sandy to maybe learn how to mark the contested ball.
His fitness seems OK, just not doing enough for someone of his experience.

I think Wright has been omitted and Armo will get a spell in the magoos too. Richo highlighted some of the kicks out on the full in one of his press conferences.

Disappointing Battle isn't getting an opportunity but the selection committee might be concerned about what a blow out down at Geelong might mean to the club and team confidence.
Don't get all the Lonie hate, I think he is a reasonable small forward and has a physical presence. He's earned his spot this week and I hope he does well.

Really hoping we do end up playing Hickey this week. Vital that we have two fresh ruckmen throughout four quarters for this one. We have to try to limit the rovers' supply in this match or we will be in a mess of trouble. Hickey has kicked goals before, and I think he will be better for the weeks in the reserves. Underestimate Geelong at your peril. In seasons like this Geelong have an ugly habit of kicking cricket scores against teams in what become season defining matches; season defining for them, season deflating for their opponents.

This is a very important game for the club. Geelong are like Hawthorn in that they will absolutely annihilate teams which don't bring pressure or effort, even if it's only for a quarter and we don't want the players' confidence to be destroyed this early in the season or 2018 will be a disaster. I suspect Gilbert is playing for the strength and experience he offers around the ground. Good luck Gilbo.

Probably best not to bring Clark straight back in after being dropped, especially down at Geelong. Let him play a few more games in the reserves first.

Bruce is possibly a victim of ridiculous coaching instructions.
He always appears to be confused and unsure.
Just freaking tell him to get out there and have fun, relax and pretend it's like under-15's.
Let a guy play on instinct instead of filling his head full of garbage.

We got all the positive press about Battle being picked this week on instantgram and now f***wit richardson doesn't pick him. What a crock of s***!

Do we get fined for that given he's not on the extended bench?

Would have thought he and paddy have been line ball

out with back soreness.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency
