Marshall solo ruck vs big Jacobs. Surprising but good luck to him!

Excited to see Coffield and White also.

Me too.

I want this year to be mainly about developing our younger players and seeing them all get games.

Hopefully Rice will get a crack soon.

So Marshall - first game
Coffield - first game
White - third game
Dunstan in - good.

No problem with any of these. Glad to see AR hasn't played it safe.
Good luck to the first gamers!
And great to see you back Brandon. Best of luck

.

Be great to see.

With this and the others even if we get thumped there will be a lot to watch.

This is the way forward. Get games and experience into our youth and see who can play and who cannot. Yes we may lose more games, but this is the only way forward. No point treading water with Gilbert as that will not help in 2 years.

Agreed - great to see Marshall get the call up and so glad to see Brandon White back in that team - shows so much potential.
Good luck Nick Coffield - looked great in JLT and I'm sure he's got a big future.
Mav a bit stiff not to be selected?

Weller must be really on the nose at the moment, 25 possessions and 5 goals and still doesn't get a game. Sinclair can count his lucky stars, he has offered nothing in both games and worse still he is getting killed by his direct opponent

Mav has a slight hamstring so not considered according to member email.
Would have liked to have seen Lonie given a crack for Paddy.
Love the selection of Marshall but it doesn't look great for the future of poor old Hickledik!

I like this team.

Taking a bit of a risk.

Sam Jacobs managed 19 games in 2011 when he was 22 so no reason RoMo cant get out there and be competitive and give a good account of himself.

Good to see White, Dunstan and Coffee in.

Pleasing.

Weller’s obviously pissed the coach off, as he’s not even an emergency.

Love the inclusions this week.

Steele must be like Samson, no good after a hair cut!!!

Big job. Hardly a vote of confidence in Hickey. I get it that the coach doesn't rate him, even after a stellar 2016, but this is rock bottom.

Geez I dunno how its gunna go with young Marshall against Jacobs with only Bruce as a back up option. Probably says more about our ruck stocks, ideally we'd be playing Marshall as a tall forward pinch hitting in the ruck to learn his craft. Hope it dosen't get too ugly for the young bloke

Definitely should have brought Gilbert in to support Marshall with the rucking. If it falls on Bruce again well bugger me. which it will. Coffield could earn his spot rather than being thrown in on a whim and a prayer.

Maybe they have plans to ruck Carlisle? I dunno. This could get ugly
