Just watching the Adelaide v Richmond game and wishing we could swap our number 32 for Adelaide's. Darcy Fogarty in his second game is streets ahead in every aspect of the game of our Paddy. Now that is what I expect from a No.1 pick and I think he didn't go until pick 12 from memory.

Fogarty had 6 touches last week (less than Paddy) and is playing his 2nd game of footy.

Why is there an obsession with comparing Paddy to other players every week? We drafted Paddy 4 years ago or whatever it was. Who cares anymore if he is a no 1 pick. We need to get over it. Let Paddy play footy and get game time into him. That is what counts going forward.

That Paddy needed to build fitness and lay more tackles. He said that he didn't like Paddy when we first recruited him, but he said when he has since seen the way Paddy flys for marks and hits packs, he changed his mind and asserted, "Gee, the kid can play".

So in summary he he rates Paddy and just reckons Paddy needs to work on the defesensive side of his game. Pretty normal for a young key forward with only 22 games under his belt I would think. Jonathon Brown also rates Paddy. I would consider Brown & Brereton more qualified to assess young key forwards than most.

Well, more than timid timmy, the loser.

You don't get to be a no1 draft pick unless you have some ability and footy smarts.
