Jon Pierik's written a nice, short piece on post-retirement Roo.

"Riewoldt has had to step away from a club he led into grand finals and at which he claimed six best and fairest awards over 17 years. It hasn't been easy but, while he no longer is at the club, he is still in contact with his former teammates.
"I still see the boys around the traps. Josh Battle, another young key forward, I speak to regularly, and Brucey (Josh Bruce) - I absolutely still take an interest," he said.
It's not out of sight, out of mind by any stretch. I am still determined to see the boys go well this year. It is different being on the other side but I am glad I have already called a St Kilda game - that was nice to rip the band-aid off and get that one out of the way.""

If only we could keep involved somehow. Doing anything. Anything!!!
"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."
