AFL X - Who's going?
Interested to see if any Saintsationalist's will be going to witness the innaugral AFL X on Feb 16? The saints are playing Essendon and Hawthorn at 8:04pm and 9pm respectively. If we happen to top our group then we get to play another game for another wizard cup!
I'll be going as it will be a good chance to see a few of the players run around. Also, I have a sneaky feeling that we'll be getting our first look at Darragh Joyce in the RWB as pace will be a premium for this competition.

Re: AFL X - Who's going?
hopefully everyone boycotts it and the afl scrap the idea. just get the old preseason cup for at going again - it was a half decent comp and reward in its prime, and with 6 more clubs the afl needs a secondary competition.

Re: AFL X - Who's going?
Personally, I am not even that interested in it. The comp has no meaning at all, much like the JLT, but it is a good chance for the club to try out some young blokes.

Won't waste my time.
Hopefully we won't play any of our top 30 players.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Re: AFL X - Who's going?
I'll have a look on TV. Will judge then.
I actually think it works as a hybrid for Northern states markets where there's fewer ovals to use.
But in southern states, it is almost pointless.

Indeed, KFT. He has got some genuine pace. I hold high hopes for the boy. Could be a bolter this year. Let's hope so.
"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Re: AFL X - Who's going?
Let's face it. We've only won one premiership in the main comp in our long history and, while it is obviously the pinnacle and we always need to strive to win the bloody thing, maybe we can also throw everything at AFL-X and the AFLW (when we come in) and be the best side in those two comps. We have won a number of "night" flags which at least can help the trophy cabinet out a bit.
GO SAINTS!
