Perth folk, in the main, have a sort of 'small man syndrome' which is caused in part by their isolation and distance from other cities.
'Chip on the shoulder'.
They would argue over the colour of orange juice.
Angry and negative is what Perth people are.
I did live there for a few years, and they are horrible to be around.
So the dwarf has the double whammy of small man syndrome+Perth nastiness.
Total rubbish. I have lived in Perth half my life and you couldn't be further from the truth. For the most part Perth people are great - Nick Riewoldt last week acknowledged the great support the Saints players get from the Perth Saints supporters when they play over here.
We can agree to disagree.
Perth folk think the world ends 6km from their front door.
Tell someone from Duncraig that you're driving to Brabham, they won't know where that is,.
describe where it is, and notice the horrified look on the face!
Okay, I have to admit - I had to google Brabham - mind you it was only gazetted in 2011 so I think that is a fair excuse. Until then it was part of Henley Brook apparently. Next to Whiteman Park - which is a great part of the world. I'm sure a lot of Perth people haven't seen much of the world (excluding Bali of course - which doesn't count), but I know a lot who have. I agree that we will have to agree to disagree.
p.s. I know quite a few Melbourne people who think Melbourne is the centre of the Universe (go figure)!

I know a few politicians who think they are the centre of the universe eh Malcolm, Bill, Richard & Nick.
Wherever they go the centre of the universe moves with them.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Wellard Saint is baaaack! Interesting times ahead. Welcome back, big fella!

"Is this the right room for an argument?"

"Yes, I did."

"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

I was banned for a while.

I have been watching without commenting, like Jaxons and old tony74,
I visit often but hold off sometimes.

Hey, I'm just an average mug punter with some opinions that might offend some and not others,
I don't offer any real earth-shaking insights that anyone's missed.
Not Einstein or Hawking, just an interested observer :D :?

Never fear saynta there’s plenty of offended folk to go around. Seems to be the thing to do nowadays, offence taking . Just takes a little practice and I am sure you could get the hang of it

What's Mick Thomas going to do now?

It's very interesting, history, isn't it.

I remember reading, years back, after a successful season, that West Coast gave Watters the flick to Sydney. There was a great deal of silence about the decision.

I was amazed back then and wondered at the logic of it all.

Seems we may be closer to understanding the situation.

Did anyone else have the same thoughts?

Mick has gone into retirement at the "Twilight Years" Maximum Security Home For The Aged. Wellard Saint will fill the vacuum. :D

Mick Thomas is a musician, i am tone deaf so can't see a connection...
is he the guy in a straitjacket 3 cells up from me,
who just mumbles incoherently in the common room?
Strange phrases such as "Toe poke...toe poke..."
when I reply 'frankly, my dear Scarlett, I don't give a damn!'
he yells for Nurse Ratched :D
