Tom McCartin

Post: # 1702704Post parkeysainter »

Is he a chance for the Saints? :D :D :D
Sounds pretty fit. Is he any good?

From AFL website:
Marking key forward Tom McCartin, the younger brother of St Kilda's Paddy, was also among the best by reaching level 21.5.

Came 11th in YoYo test. Pretty good for a big guy at 192cm.

Is he diabetes free ?

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Was it Tom who jumped on Twitter earlier in the year when Paddy was dominating at Sandy and couldn't get a look in??

Someone supposedly from the McCartin clan had some choice opinions about the Saints coaching staff....probably not a great idea in your draft year??

Well, to be fair I kind of thought some of the same things at times this year.

What's the Yo-Yo test, do you have to be able to Rock the Baby.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

It was invented by a Danish football specialist in some field from memory. It's a much more accurate test of a players fitness for someone that plays elite soccer or AFL for example due the the stop/start nature of both sports. The yo-yo combines walking/recovery and increased running levels (similar to the beep test).

The old beep test has become a little bit obselete, but its still a good tool to garner a fitness level for entry into certain job roles, underage and local sports, high schools, etc.

Brilliant Wayne42......... it went straight through to the keeper as far as “parkeysainter” is concerned.

Loris,

did you go 'Around The World"?

and did you have a visit from the Coca Cola professionals at school?

It was a great half-an-hour break from the books.

The "Kevin Spacey".

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Geelong are very keen on him.
My tip is they will use pick 33 to get Tom.
I doubt we'd get the opportunity to take him without using 7 or 8.

It didn't actually. Its hard to tell if people are being a smart arse or serious in this joint sometimes.

I find the yo-yo testing method to be revolutionary and thought it might be interesting.
