As for his partner it is an individual sport with very little funding so if he is offered a significantly better deal they move.

Was involved in Athletics for years and outside off perhaps her coach being in NSW there is in reason why she could not relocate with very little impact upon her aspirations. Our number one female high jumper trains by herself in Leongatha so it can be done.

She needs all of her girlfriends around, as well as being close to Mummy.
No way is she pulling up stumps in Sydney to start a new life in Melbourne.

Bit of a generalisation, heaps of young athletes that I have been involved in are now in college in the states far away from their support networks.

Depends on the individual I reckon.

Tomlinson coming to the Saints, dead in the water. GWS says he will not be traded under any circumstances. Nothing to see here.

Lol. Tomlinson dead in the water already on the morning of Day 1. That was short lived.

This is a joke right? Absolute dud. Jack Lonie is better than Hartung.

Tell me again how we're getting Tomlinson?

Don't recall ever saying we would get Tomlinson only commented about his girlfriends impact on any decision.

We are not getting him as he is contracted and GWS have said they will not trade him, which was always the most likely scenario. Plus the fact Ameet said we had not tabled a five year contract for him so it was unlikely.

From what looks like it played out no need for any impact or consultation worth his girlfriend as he is contracted and required.

Either way not all 24 year old women need to be near their mum, reckon that is a really poor and general comment to make.

Must be a joke surely.
Hawks who are short of young mids with speed want to trade one out, I wonder why?

Hartung avg of 22 disposals per game. 8th in total disposals at the Hawks this season.

He's not a bad player at all and hardly a dud. He is super quick, fit and has good skills. He would provide depth if nothing else.

They're preparing to trade in Jarman Impey, Billy is out of contract, so I assume uncontracted players are in the firing line when it comes to making room on your club's list?

Billy is quick, but he's not the greatest kick. It's a no from me. We need elite kicks more than anything.

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

In a side with kicking deficiencies like ours, why would you want another bloke who cant hit a target to save himself.

No.

We evidently made some initial enquiries.

We never tabled a firm offer as the idiot stated

Somebody can go house-hunting during 'home-opens' and ask the agents what ball-park price it might sell for, then ask how much council rates are, etc...
That's purely askin the questions..
