Con do you ever have any positive comments about the Saints? It seems nothing would make happier than seeing us constantly in the cellar again like the 80's.
+ 1
I'll add to this a little more...

Con, do u remember when Bigmart would go on his rants about how Dunstan wasn't good enough or Paddy lacked awareness or when Barks jumped on his 'only Rix can give us enough hit outs to advantage' crap that he cut and pasted into every thread? And it would invade thread after thread for weeks at a time...

I got no issue with your opinion, u actually make some good points but geeez man we freaking get it.

You're unhappy with the direction/position of the club and you don't have faith with those in charge to get us out of it.

Can u please stop exerting this damn opinion into every post and every thread you get into.

It's getting really tiresome listening to you say 'we're not a destination club' every time someone is linked to us or a forumite suggests they like a certain player

What's more tiresome is the constant insistence that we are definitely getting player a b or c when we aren't.
Fyfe, Jom, Cameron, Kelly, Martin, Treloar etc etc.
It is so boring.

Oh I know...

I read it the first four or five times you posted it.

Any other ground breaking revelations you want to throw in here...
Our assistant coaches suck
Nobody wants to come here
Paddy was a poor number 1 choice
We're irrelevant

I'm sure there's a few I've missed

Have a look at theTigers.. is there any correlation between winning the flag and having real experience in the c
Support staff .... leppitsch, neil balhm and most of the coaches are not raw coaching recuits.
We need more smarts, more experience and some fresh blood (not immediate explayers).

Richo has the EQ required. Lacks tactical nouse.

Tactical nouse doesn't come from fresh recuits. Someone liked Rocket could lift the Saints to the next level

Paul Amy‏ @PaulAmy375

Frankston close to appointing a coach for its comeback year in the VFL. St Kilda FC ruck coach Adam Skrobalak apparently in contention.

Tom Morris‏ @tommorris32

Adam Skrobolak will be Frankston's VFL coach for 2018. Club expected to announce it this week. Skrobolak will still work as STKFC ruck coach

I don't want to be a negative Nelly, but how will he do justice to our already thin ruck stocks if he has a full time gig trying to revive a club that was close to extinction? Amateur hour at the saints, I'm afraid. Get a full time coach in who can devote all his attention to us.

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

I believe he was only part time at the saints with alternate employment

Nothing changes he is still a part time ruck coach, great professional development opportunity for him.

But gee slight conflict of interest when he coaches against Sandy, don't think we need a full time ruck coach but not ideal.

So what does he tell the Frankston ruck when they play Sandy?

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

What issues have we got in the ruck? We have Billy who is the best ruckman in the league according to some.

The Exclamation Wizard had Longer as top 10 in B n F
and we have Hickey, Marshall, and Lewis Pierce at the Zebs as possible ruck back-up.
Meanwhile, Gilbo relieves Billy, and Baroose often chips in when he's not channelling Basil Fawlty.

So our stocks aren't 'thin' per se, just the quality is rubbish.
Kind of like eating McNuggets or $6/kg beef mince for every meal,
and lying to yourself that you're getting enough protein

Adam is fully supportive of our aim to develop local talent and involve ourselves in community
football and as such he has accepted an extended role that will involve our club in supporting
community football. This broader coaching role will take up three quarters of his week. This allows
Adam to also continue his role at the St Kilda FC on a part time basis. The outcome is that for the
first time our coach will have a full time commitment to football and be able to truly lead our club
into the semi professional era that is VFL football. He will also have continued contact with trends,
training technology and tactics at AFL level which will only increase his value to us.

During our year off the club has strengthened all aspects of our operation with substantial growth
in membership (we are already the third highest supported club in the VFL), sponsorship and
fundraising events. And now with Adam at the helm we are looking forward to the next few months
as we put together a truly competitive list who can represent the club as it re-emerges as a force in
the VFL state league competition.
“I am extremely excited to be appointed as Senior coach of the Frankston FC and fully understand the
challenge ahead as we re enter the VFL.
Our aim is to create an elite football environment where players can challenge themselves at VFL level and as
a group work to become a revered football club both on and off field.
Personally the opportunity to coach in my own right and lead the on field direction of such a proud club is an
Honour.” Adam Skrobalak (Frankston FC Senior Coach)
