Prelim finals dates

Postby avid » Wed 13 Sep 2017 10:59pm

Can anyone predict whether the Richmond v Whoever prelim is going to be on Friday night, Saturday arvo or Saturday night?
I'm trying to plan my weekend before the semi's results are in.
Sorry this isn't on a proper Saints topic.
Very sorry.

Traditionally the top ranked team is on Friday night and the other team is on Saturday afternoon. Therefore Adelaide Friday and Richmond Saturday.... but who knows with the afl being addicted to cash and tv ratings.

Thank you repta and stevie for replying to my query.
It's definitely Saturday. Just saw it on the Tigers website. But time is TBA. Still hoping it's not ther regular afternoon start.
Stevie, I don't understand your comment: "mayb 4 or 5pm to give eagles or gws tie to fly home".
Are you saying they might start earlier or later?

Shouldn't have even admitted I've looked on the Richmond website. I know.

I read somewhere that it will be between a 4 to 5 pm start, most likely 440 IMO.

Channel 7 won't like that as it won't run into their news and we all know it's all about the broadcaster.
As president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
