Rock solid A graders in rance down back , crotchin in the middle and Riewoldt up forward.
The lesser lights are playing with confidence and they've been able to keep their best team on the park .
I don't think the saints can really learn anything from them as we have no A graders.
Hopefully next year some of our players can become that. Billings may be our best hope as many of our B graders have poor foot skills.
Until we have 3 or 4 A graders we won't seriously challenge for a flag.
Q. Where did they get those 4 A graders?
A. The Draft

Riewoldt - 2006 # 13
Cotchin - 2007 # 2
Rance - 2007 # 18
Martin - 2009 # 3

Also
Daniel Rioli - 2015 - #15.

They've had a dream run with injuries. Only one on their injury list. Their fitness staff has done a mighty job. Didn't we hire the bloke they sacked last year?

being feral is something I avoid or at least try to ... that would be the only thing I could learn from that lot.

Having a dream run is pretty much a given if you make a GF.
Brodie Smith aside - the Crows have also had a dream run. Will be interesting to see if the Crows bring McGovern back.
I assume they will bring McGovern back and Greenwood will go out.

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

What we can learn from the Tigers...sit tight, do nothing, and everything might just fall in to place in 35 years or so. So traditional, gotta love 'em.

They conducted a full independent club review last year.
They made drastic changes.

You need a lot of luck and it helps to be really shithouse for a really long time.

Richmond have shown that any team can win the Grand Final along with the Bulldogs.

Richmond have shown a midget fwd line is all the rage.
The Dogs did it last year as well.

Is the three tall fwd line now obsolete for the time being?

Playing at the G every second week helps.

When was out first game at the G this year?

What about in 2009? How many games we did get at the G in 2010?

It'a a quirky little competition.

I admit, there are some sour grapes but you don't reckon in 2010 the filth had an advantage over us playing at the G week in week out?

Yep.
And so what happened?
They had KPMG or Deloitte come in and run a whole of football department review last year.
They made major changes.
Balme, Leppitsch, Caracalla were added to the staff.
They hired a grappling coach.
They made things happen as a club. They supported Hardwick. They added resources and intelligence.
I don't see us doing that. I just see no actual changes and lots of marketing spin. We are just hoping for the best.
