Just saw this on FB
Yep, I mentioned him earlier, he'd be a bloody good pickup. Not covering for anyone though, you wouldn't pick up Trengove as 'insurance', a swingman with pinch-hit ruck capability, he's starting 22 any day of the week.
At Sandy?
Yep. Walk up.
Surely competition won't be that tight in our senior backline? Sounds like 2018's off to a flyer already!

Jesus christ.
Good news. Hes a gun.
Local Frankston boy so i believe this one.
He is contracted so I assume we will need to give up pick 8 for him. Probably not a bad deal.
Use pick 7 on the best midfielder available.

I assume that means Nate Brown is gone.

Very, very good player, but hopefully not costing pick 7 or 8.
He's 25 and a third tall or running back not a gun midfielder.
More like a Gilbo type with better foot skills.
Problem is what else do we have, no second rounder.
Maybe 8 and get 25 back?

Maybe it will be a player swap for Haynes ?

So we're adding another Half back flanker?

If we give up 7 or 8 for him I'll spew.

I wish! Really rate him, Reminds me a lot of a young Gilbo but with much needed skill and composure. Yes please, make it happen. :D

Hes more than a flanker. He can play on talls.

Mind you - we do seem obsessed with recruiting defenders.

Delaney, Roberton, Nate Brown, Carlisle.... and now this bloke.

Jaxons what's the % of this happening? What type of deal do you reckon?

Will Armo and Hickey be at the club next season? I hope so.

Any chance of Rockliff??

Pick 23 back to us seems fair.

So 8 for Haynes + 23.

Could we trade 8 (+43) down for two first rounders from Brisbane (12+18) or Tigers(15+16/17)?
Or is a pick in the teens too low for Hayes? (assuming a club would do such a deal! May depend on what Brisbane think will happen with their acadamy kids ?)

I guess we will need to use 8 and try to get back 23.... which we can hopefully use wisely!
If we use 7 well to draft a good kid then it will be a good off season

Good player but is he what we really need? Should we be giving up a 1st round pick for a 3rd tall when we have Roberton, Gilbert & White who can play similiar roles.

Good suggestion. I like where you are going with that... I guess the question then comes - what is better picks 23 + 43 or pick 17?

I supposes it depends on how many rookies we want to promote and how many list spots are available.

I thought this initially too, but look at most defensive units these days there are usually two attacking third defenders.. look at Adelaide... Kelly and Lever... I don't think having two play and three on the list is a bad idea

Interesting when you consider w have Carlisle, Brown, Roberton and Goddard* on the list and teams like Tiges are playing a mosquito fleet fwd line.
