3 Points Worth 82 Points

Post: # 1695984Post ace »

If St Kilda had scored only 3 more points we would have finished 10th on the ladder instead of 11th.
That would have cost us draft pick 8 (1551 draft points) down to draft pick 9 (1469 draft points)
Those draft points being before AFL adjustments due to free agency compensations and the impact of queue jumping on the draft night because of academy and father-son picks.

Well judged team.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

The talk around "draft points" is as boring to me as discussion about the "Free Trade Agreement"
Boring, uninteresting.
People obsessed with this must be accountants or maths teachers.

Get a life.
Have the saints had any consistent skill at picking a diamond player in the draft? We get good players from other teams, usually,
because "player development" at Seaford is a phrase only found on a lever arch file, which contains dozens of blank pages.

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

Points? I think we've kicked the most behinds of any team this year.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
