I must admit that it disappointing that they have not blooded someone like NoK (who I believe can still be promoted, or Rice (maybe he is not fit?).

Out
Hickey
Lonie
Either Weller or White

Geez hope White plays, he belongs in the 22, not Mav (currently at least)

White must play.

Hickey and Lonie should not.

If Stevens is fit, Mav goes out, I reckon.

So in Roo, out Stevens or Weller

I would have liked to see them give another game to Marshall.

How have they been going at VFL level? It looks as if Rice has been mediocre: wasn't he dropped for one game? O'Kearney seems to have been going a little better.

Who would they displace? Riewoldt needs to come back for his last two games, so Riewoldt for the injured Stevens seems a probable final selection. I know many on here would like to see Weller dropped, but I can't see that either Rice or O'Kearney would be suited to playing his role.

We might be out of the finals race, but we should still be selecting the team on form and ability. Sure, it's a good idea to blood young players, but only in positions they are suited for and only if their form warrants it.

Does a selection committee actually convene or is there a set algorithm with fixed forward line and "interchange from" values. Personally I can't wait to find which of Hickey or Lonie won't play. Shirley not both culled, what a shock. Oh, injury concerns, keep the opposition guessing .. cunning.

Rice mediocre? He was going well, but then had a series of injury misfortunes. He has certainly done enough to have been blooded in my book.
NoK has been consistently good all season.

As a trend I just think that we could have gotten a few more games into some of our youth. Fora team targeting 2020, nit enough player development was done this year.

Lastly I am not talking wholesale changes here, but rather that someone younger could have been played. Throughout the season we could have gotten some more games into some more youth. Rice in particular was stiff to have not gotten a game when he was in excellent form.

Weller should probably have been given a spell to truly get over his injuries.
Gresham we all know will be a good player for us long term, but has stayed in the team even when have ordinary spells.

Roo in for Weller, unless Stevens doesn't come up.

While would be nice to blood youngsters we cannot afford to lose a game like this just in case a Ess or WB slip up this week and reopen the door for us. Could you imagine the uproar if we played a couple youngsters and lost to north and other results fell our way.

Most likely will not happen but not impossible

Unless White is sore, absolutely ridiculous decision. Mav is cooked. Rest him, schedule surgery on whatevers bothering him, whatever he needs to get over his ankle and whatever else. He should have been dropped and rested months ago. I see this as a big indictment on the coaching panel that he's even been getting a game such is his lack of form and fitness. Talk about flogging a dead horse.

Richo is mad.

My guess is he's been offered a five year contract extension and doesn't care at this stage, given we won't make the finals

Can we do a poll on whether Mav should be out, and White in?

All the romance for Rice and O'Kearney is negated because of the form of Rice and O'Kearney being listed at 72kg (so another Templeton et al - just too small).

It is disappointing that White has been omitted.

Plus one. Terrible decision. Sums up the approach this year.

Yep nothing has changed. AR has to be the worst developer of young talent in a senior coaching role in the comp.

Are you insane... why try new blood that might not make it when we can get a guaranteed 12 possessions, (4 kicks & 8 handballs), 3 tackles, several sprayed shots at goal from 40m out and the knowledge that the space in the forward line is guarded more securely then anywhere else in the league.
Not to mention some good blocking too
