Hopefully Paddy can have a bit of luck and string together some games.

I think we should aim to win a final and that this is not setting the bar too high.

Obviously kicking for goal and composure are major areas for work over summer. It alone is probably responsible for us not figuring in the finals this season.

We are the worst performed club in the competition in this regard. Terrible efficiency and too often no reward for dominating large periods of games except for a succession of points.

So scrutinise every player's technique and get a shrink in if necessary. It's too important an area of the game not to get right.

We had Mark Spargo from Dec 2014, he's been in sports psych for years, but he seems to have disappeared from the club website
although his Linkedin Profile still says Saints from Dec 2014-present

Dunstan has spent a lot of time with Emma Murphy's family - she is a sports psych- it's all in an article put on this forum about a week ago

Maybe she can help them with their goalkicking. She certainly seems to have helped Dunstan
Dunny says she is big on body language,
Folks like ToT say that Billings kicks on the run fairly smoothly, but lining up for goal, his arms are stiff, he doesn't flow nicely
Maybe he needs to relax- JB should spend time with her as well

I know when I try to tee off at golf, I am stiff and rigid, I can't hit well
I see others nice and smooth, wish I could do that

Dunstan has certainly improved, but he was responsible for two absolute howler turnovers against the Dees in that first quarter. Hopefully execution under real pressure comes with more games / experience

It's a bloody hard game and that's why it keeps bringing us back.

One thing it has in common with kicking for goal is that a dodgy technique will break down under pressure every time.

Maybe try Happy Gilmore's approach to the tee - that should get you 'flowing'

Top 8. Possibly 6th to 8th finish at end of home/away season.

Medolink comes on board as a major sponsor to give all the players a corrective eye surgery so they can finally tell the small sticks from the large ones and diferenciate between players to stop turnovers.

Just scraping into 6th to 8th just doesn't cut it IMO.

We trade our big fish. And he hits the ground running turning out a top 1 or 2 brownlow finish.

Big fish also wins our B&F over Jack Billings who turns in a 60 goal year playing mid-high half foward.

We have a shyte preseason. Losing pretty much whatever rubbish they have us playing in.

First month is 50/50 and somewhat alarming with this board melting down completely when Bruce kicks 1 goal 14 over three rounds.

Then we go on a tear and win twelve games straight. Only drop two more games for the season and finish second to a rampaging GWS.

Win our first final against Geelong easily.
Win our prelim against Adelaide at the MCG.
GWS in the Granny and after a tight first half, Skunk gets off the chain and has a 4 goal third quarter, with the midfield absolutely dominating. At the end of the day we win by 37 points.

We all lose our shyt.

Board closes down mid way through 2019 because after actually winning a flag, none of us give a flying one anymore and find better things to do with out time.

Well...winning the flag is as good of a guess as finishing 7th is.

Not as bad as WellardSaint with his moronic and boring personal anecdotes.

What an imbecile.

The coaches start to lose faith in Nathan Brown after watching him continually spectate instead of impacting marking contests or pack situations. They realise that recruiting him was a mistake because he does not defend at every opportunity which is supposed to be his core role. They realise his contribution is miniscule and we'd have been much better off sticking to a more modern day type defender or someone who actually wants to occasionally take a mark and get a kick. Someone in the mould of a Rampe, a Harry Talor, or someone like the more attacking type defenders who are succeeding at Adelaide in the mould of a McGovern-Lever or Kelly

Gresham and Billings start kicking straight, bagging 40 goals plus each.

Kelly chooses Carlton, Lever goes to North Melbourne.

Our recruiters use our prize first round picks on a kid with one leg and guy who wears a colostomy bag (ripping blokes, though).

Jack Steven regains his best form but others get ravaged by sea lice while treading water.

Paddy McBeef knocks himself out by running into a telephone pole while out jogging, misses season.

Freeman slips in the bath and breaks his leg, misses season.

Richo has a nervous breakdown and starts his RD 16 Message to Members, "Yeah, get stuffed, Saints members ..."

RO$$ Lyon returns as coach with "unfinished business".

WE'LL SEE WHO'S RIGHT!!!

McCartin wil kick 5 goals in round 1 and we will all hail in as the new messiah (again!).

The following Wednesday night he will slip over in his bathroom, bang his head on the toilet seat, and suffer a season ending concussion.

Just our luck!

Ok, My predictions (with the aid of a few rumours circulating):
Whitfield, unhappy with his treatment last year reached an in principle agreement to move to the saints during last years trade period
Kelly, who wasnt really going anywhere, finds out he is worth big bucks and if he is to move, would like to play with his mates billings and steele. The former who delayed a payrise to provide cap space.

Hickey goes to Hawthorn who approached the saints last year about Longer, probably get a second rounder back. The tend to like the guys that can go forward (McEvoy, Hale etc)
Whitfield and Kelly cost 2 first rounders this year and one next year.

Joey retires, Stuv to be injury free, Paddy to play atleast 15 games and a general 20% uplift in the core group as they start towards the magic 80 - 100 games mark
Richo gets a contract extension by April next year.
Ameet either stays one more year or atleast gets us through the draft period to finish what he started
SS poster come out of the woodwork claiming the credit
Saints make a prelim and who knows after that.

Could happen :)

There is a board spill, with a new ticket headed by
Tim Worner (CEO of Seven West Media) and that former Saints boss who was a bit too hands-on with female staffers-
these 2 will make a perfect team
