Best 22 not to have won a flag

Post: # 1693654Post older saint »

As another champion leaves without a Premiership i was thinking about how many great players we have had leave empty handed.i know a bit of a pointless exercise as apart from 20 players ( plus a few recruits) everyone else is an option , but considering a few from the TOC have medalians why not:

I have kept it since 1966

B:Baker, Frawley, Hudghton
HB: Barker, Fisher, A Jones
C:Dal Santo, Hayes, Winmar
HF: Roo, Loewe,Hamill
F: Milne, Lockett, G Young
Foll: Ditterich, Harvey, Burke

Int: Gehrig, Everett, Goddard, Montagna

unlucky to miss: Peckett, McAdam, Grant, Ball

Sure i have missed plenty , have a go

Great idea, great team.

I agree Wayne Judson ahead of Stevie .

I would have John McIntosh ahead of Spider.

I think we may be a bit too heavy . So I would bring Stewie Trott in on a wing, Nicky to HFF, Sammy to the bench, and Fraser misses out.

And another thing, the saddest part about this side is most of these guys have played in a grand final...

Barry Lawrence should fit into that side. Tough and skilful and could play most positions.

Yes you are right. Maybe in BP ahead of Max, or ahead of Hamill.

My error on Ball . I would have had G Elliott instead.

Judson , McIntosh, , Lawrence before my time so take your word on it .

As far as I'm concerned Ditterich did win a flag, as did Paddy Murphy.
Anyone who plays a game in a premiership year is a premiership player!
