Leadership Group

Post: # 1693314Post nw7 »

Our new Leadership Group has really struggled this year. Weller has been dropped, Steven, Geary and Newnes have had worse year than last year and Armo has been injured. Some of these guys must be focusing a lot more on their own form than helping the kids as leaders. Seb Ross is the only one that is having a better year, when Roo and Monty are out of the team you can really see a void. The club needs to really look at how they can improve the leadership qualities of this group and quickly. The on field leadership is needed when teams get run ons and at the end of quarters when we drop off (its really affected our % this year) and close finishes. I hope Monty plays one more year and when we draft or trade we look at leadership qualities (Kelly would be a great fit) and we look at ways to improve our leaders.

Seb gets lots of the pill
but he is incredibly wasteful.
He hardly ever instigates a scoring opportunity, and hardly ever delivers to advantage the team.
Far too often, he just kicks in hope- like Buckley said of Tom Mitchell- "he doesn't hurt you!"
Big numbers mean Jack unless he's actually giving quality.
So overrated it's hilarious.

The entire the leadership group should be deemed banned from the voting for 2018.

Carlisle and Membrey should be leaders, Savage, based on his improvement, but not sure on who else.

I would like to keep Robbo in the leaders, it hasn't hampered him,
but would it be fair to exclude most of this year's? Much fairer to exclude all of them, for consistency.

Would like to see Robbo and Geary be leaders again next year
unless Robbo ends up going to Qld as someone on here suggests, based on a very trustworthy  real estate agent in Brisbane

The problem is we've got no stars .
If the captain is a star player , their actions can lead the way.
When the captain is like geary , they need star players they can rely on to help them lead the way.
Unfortunately geary has got no one with that x factor in the team .
Hopefully we can recruit well
