If those three games all go the right way and we then beat the Dees on Sunday we are in the 8

We don't need WCE to lose. A decent win against the dees will get us above the dogs.

Adelaide beat Essendon and we win by 15 points or more and we are back in the 8.

On the basis of my ladder predictor, it is out of us and Melbourne for 8th spot. We need to win by 40 points on Sunday to get the %'s back to level, with us a game up. We both win next week - them against Brisbane and us against North (relative %s stay the same). In the final game they beat Collingwood and we lose to Richmond. We have to hope that they are both close games, and we sneak over the line into 8th spot.

Well, my afl predictor is pretty reasonable

It all comes down to these, assuming wins against North and Richmond (both beaten strongly by the saints earlier in the year)

Win vs dees, make the 8
Draw vs dees, make the 8
Lose vs Dees, but Essendon lose both vs Adelaide and Gold Coast and Saints make the 8.

Real competition is with the bombers. The other possibility is that Adelaide smashes their percentage out of the park and Saints win big vs Roos and Richmond to get in on percentage.

Did I mention that Richmond vs Saints is the last game of 2017 to finish? Latest starting Sunday game! Very 2008 feel about it!
