Siren's Call by Yvette Wroby

Post: # 1691789Post samuraisaint »

This is a new book about a family who have a longtime connection to the Sainters, and about other people she knows who follow the mighty St Kilda FC. Anybody read it yet? Apparently it just came out.

it has been out a few months

and has been a good read- -
many will connect with the stories of family events and fitting in football family as well

not sure where you can buy now- the club have been great in supporting it.

YES! a fine memoir! I had the good fortune to meet Yvette while waiting for the train to a Saints game last year. She is a very good writer, but also a very passionate Saints person. The book is a fine read, a good mix of laughter and tears. Yvette can usually be contacted at her website: www.cartoonswork.com.au I'm not 100% certain, but I think you may still be able to purchase copies from the lady herself at the Victory Room pre-game!

Yes a few of us get a mention in it. Known her since she was a young girl. A very passionate Saints fan and a good writer.

I hadn't heard of it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Here's a link SaintBrat provided in her thread which gives some information on it: http://www.footyalmanac.com.au/book-rev ... tte-wroby/
