A new pact

Post: # 1691548Post freely »

The Saints core under GT of Nick, Kosi, Ball, Dal Santo, BJ and Montagna - (have I got them all?) - famously made a pact they'd stick fat to bring us a premiership.

If 6 of our current players were to make a similar pact, who would we want it to be?

Nick - Tick
Joey - Tick
Ball - Collingwood
Dal - North
Kosi - :(
BJ - Essendon

Pacts cannot be entered into in an age of player movement (both self and club inspired)

If you would like to know who do I want to see at the core of a 'pack' hunting our next premiership.

Acres
Billings
McCartin
Gresham
Sinclair
Ross
Steven
Carlisle
White
Dunstan

and the list goes on - there are few players on our team atm that I cannot see being part of the next premiership tilt.

Ross, Bruce, Membrey, Roberton, Savage for mine.

Would rather not see a 'clique' of players...I want a really good team morale including fringe players...a few times this year, during our poor performances I've seen some dissapointing body language and communication between players, finger pointing, flailing hands in the air, head shaking etc...I put it down to the pressure no doubt the players and club have felt this year, the weight of expectation has definitely affected us negatively to date (we can still have time to turn that around)...winners are certainly grinners and it all looks hunky dory and a happy change rooms...it's with losses and poor weeks when we probably learn more about how tight knit the group is...adversity bonds like nothing else...

my hope is to have a great 'team morale' across the board led by a mature inclusive and gun leadership group.

What I want to see is our drafting improve so we bring in kids ala Sydney, Hawks and Geelong that are low picks but look like ready made AFL players. Sick of the Ben Longs of the world.

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Don't need to take it too seriously - they won't make a pact on our say-so anyway!! FWIW, if i could just pick 6 I'd most like to see stick fat would be:

Billings
Sinclair
Webster
Acres
Gresham
Ross
