Demons Going to Hell?
Melbourne look bloody awful today. They could very well be on a downhill slope at Mt. Bulla and on the brink of a big time choke. They're starting to look vulnerable to capitulating their spot in the eight.
One week at a time, but if we can grind out a win tomorrow, the Dees look very ripe for the picking!

Re: Demons Going to Hell?
oh, THOSE Demons....you know, the ones that are SO far ahead of us! gee it seems SO long ago now, that some of their players were talking in the media of "how they'd shape up once finals came round, and how much more experienced they'd be for playing off in the eight" hmmmmmmmm Karma Bus! Ding-Ding!!!

Re: Demons Going to Hell?
They're so overrated. If we beat the west cocaine tomorrow, I'm sure we'll beat them next week. That will put us ahead of both. A win against the shitstains, Norf Melbourne and we will be in the eight. All comes down to the Tigers then. See how doable this is, folks? If only we'd beaten the SA version of the filth!
I think you're pretty tough, don't I?

"if only we'd beaten the SA version of the filth!" Damn straight Companero! It's now seven days since that game, and I STILL can't shake my disappointment. That mob were DONE, mentally shot! (apart from Ryder and Gray ) Yes, we should have manned up better, NO argument from me on THAT! But I'll be damned if I'm going to crucify those kids of ours for ONE moment of brilliance from two of our opponents, not after the effort they all put in.GregPackhamsHeadband wrote:They're so overrated. In my humble opinion, our boys will come back from that devastating loss, mentally tougher and with a will to prove the 'experts" wrong!

I wish we could have shown the sprit and smarts Carlton did today against the druggies, instead of the insipid s#$t effort we put up.

the drug cheats will make it they have a soft draw. Our best bet is west coke and melbourne faltering and luckily we play both in the next 2 weeks

Couldn't ask for a better run home, really. We've only our selves to blame if we mess up.Tom_Sainter wrote:the drug cheats will make it they have a soft draw. Our best bet is west coke and melbourne faltering and luckily we play both in the next 2 weeks

Re: Demons Going to Hell?
After a few games today going oh so close to how we wanted, I've got the feeling we're going to finish off the year strong but unfortunately finish 9th on percentage, with our terrible goal kicking proving the difference this season between playing finals and not.
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Re: Demons Going to Hell?
North looked very tired tonight too - at the end of a very long difficult campaign - Brown got knocked out too, and it looked reasonably serious - thankfully he gave the thumbs up to the crowd as he was leaving the arena, but you'd think he'd miss at least a couple of games. We might be getting them at exactly the right time when we play them in a couple of weeks.
If we win the next three games, which I think we will, the final game against the Tigers at the G will be our most important game since 2011.
So long as we win 12 games this year and have a % of over 100% I will be okay with the season, given a much more difficult draw, but potentially playing Melbourne without Hogan and North without Brown makes our mission a lot easier.

A "draw" is what they do for instance in the World Cup Finals when balls are randomally taken out of a cage to select who plays who. Not sure if you are aware this doesn't happen in the AFL anymore.

So Dr. Doom, we've won that last game for the year. Is it going to be three straight losses from here?Bernard Shakey wrote:We'll win one more game for the year!
