As facetious as this suggestion is, I actually don't think it'd be a bad idea. It would be a lovely gesture and also give the lad some incentive to try to fill some very big shoes.
Good on you colleague! That's a nice suggestion.
What's with all the colleagues, colleague? It's very annoying.
Awfully sorry about that Colleague

So Jiggster, dear Comrade/chomhghleacaí/cydweithiwr (the last 2 are gaelic and Welsh respectively!!!)

what is your suggestion for nombre Douze?

Qu'est-ce que tu penses? (what do you think?)
:D

See! Wellard gets the picture!

Ahora! Número doce? Perhaps " retire " the number for one season. Then make it the captains number. OR....give the number to whoever finishes first in our B&F this season,,,,, which would be Seb Ross.

How does that sound, colleague?

With the greatest respect, I think Seb Ross would be a perfect candidate. He is going to be a GUN!

Seb is going about his work with diligence and professionalism. A fine young player who will be a future skipper.

I don't think Seb will change from number 6.
That number has history as Bob Murray wore 6 when he took that great mark to virtually save the '66 grand final when Collingwood were attacking late in the last quarter
