At the 2002 Saints family day at (what was then) Telstra Dome. I approached Nick for his autograph. There he stood alone, I had the chance to chat with him one on one! Nick seemed very quiet, almost bashfulwhen I asked him to sign my autograph book. He was all of, what? 19 years of age, yet he TOWERED over me! Being a bit cheeky, ( and older than him ) I said:
"How's the view from up there mate?" He grinned back at me. " is there any snow up there?, you're as tall as mount Buller!"
Since then, I've always called Nick by my own pet name for him: "Snowy"

What a wonderful person. What a marvellous footballer. How lucky we are to have seen him play..... for US!

I was lucky enough to watch Doc, Stewie, Rossy Smith, Cowboy and Breeny play their entire careers. I saw most of Barks' career but, by moving away for work, didn't see enough of Plugger and Cuz. But I was lucky enough to watch all of Harves (post-age 30) and most of Lenny.

But, if I can make it to an age where I live in a nursing home, I will always reflect on what a pleasure it has been to see Nick Reiwoldt play his entire career. Well done legend!
