I've said this before and I'll say it again. Is Peta Searle the best person for the job OR the best woman for the job? Did we rush to appoint a woman so we could be pioneers in this area. What were her stand out qualities above other candidates? Were there any other candidates? She's the Development coach is she not? She should be feeling the heat as much as anyone. Our player development certainly is questionable when compared to say a club like Hawthorn or Geelong who by rights should have had 5 yrs in the wilderness like we have had (and are continuing to have) after a sustained period of success. Both these clubs have had more success than us in terms of silverware and the Cats are STILL challenging for silverware whilst the hawks are arguably playing as well as anyone in the competition right now. It could be argued that they have spent 10 weeks in the wilderness and ALREADY lookfar more promising than us. :x

Yes, we've definitely got too many female coaches. You've hit the nail on the head there - that's definitely the problem!

Our Development coaches are
Simon McPhee
Lindsay Gilbee
Peta Searle.
There should be one Saint there at least. We should have grabbed X.Man when we had the chance last year.

Our other coaches, there are seven of them Only Hamill and Frawley have a Saints history, and Danny is only part time.

And Hamill has only been full-time from last season I think. He was part-time for a number of years.
