Inside 50's and differentials

Post: # 1687815Post saintspremiers »

Can someone please do an analysis of how many inside 50's we've had this year/average and how that stacks up against the league?

I'd also love to know the inside 50 differentials on average - I noticed this week we had 27 less than the Swines but against the Bummers we had only 17 less.

I'm no footy expert, but if you don't get the ball inside your arc enough, it's hard to kick a winning score (unless you are deadly accurate - we were very accurate against Sydney but still got flogged!)

Also, the differential points to the relative effectiveness of your attacking midfield vs. defensive midfield setups

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

We are ranked 11th for inside 50s. We average 51.6 per game. The league average is 52.7.

We currently sit 5th for marks inside 50.

It all starts with clearances though. We're ranked 17th, only narrowly above Carlton in 18th.

What is it with our coaches contiually playing our least mobile midfielders at centre clearances. Surely a mix of both is more affective eg Billings, Newnes, Acres, Gresham, Weller etc.
